Learn Quran online with interactive live sessions

We have all sat through boring lectures where the teacher talks at us, not with us. You stare at the clock, waiting for it to end.

Unfortunately, many people associate religious learning with this passive, dull style. They think learning the Quran means sitting quietly while someone lectures them on rules they don’t understand.

But the Quran is alive. It is meant to be discussed, recited, and reflected upon.

When you choose to learn quran online with Ijaazah, you aren’t signing up for a lecture. You are joining a conversation. We believe that the only way to truly absorb the words of Allah is through interactive, live sessions where you are an active participant, not just a spectator.

Passive vs. Active Learning

You can watch a YouTube video about Tajweed, and you might understand the theory. But can you apply it? Probably not.

  • Passive (Apps/Videos): You receive information, but you don’t know if you are using it correctly.
  • Active (Live Sessions): You recite, the teacher stops you, you ask “Why?”, the teacher explains, and you try again. This feedback loop is where real learning happens.

“Studying Among Themselves”

Interaction isn’t a modern invention; it is the Prophetic method. The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) described the gathering of knowledge as a group effort, involving recitation and mutual study.

He said:

“No people gather together in one of the Houses of Allah, reciting the Book of Allah and studying it among themselves, except that sakeenah (tranquility) descends upon them…”[Sahih Muslim 2699] (Source: Sunnah.com)

Notice the phrase “studying it among themselves.” It implies an exchange. It implies asking questions and seeking depth. That interaction brings tranquility.

Engage Your Heart and Mind

Allah revealed the Quran for us to think about, not just to repeat robotically.

“[This is] a blessed Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], that they might reflect upon its verses…”[Surah Sad, 38:29] (Source: Quran.com)

Reflection (Tadabbur) requires a teacher who provokes your thoughts. In our sessions, your teacher might ask, “Why do you think this verse ends with ‘The Forgiving’ and not ‘The Powerful’?” These questions turn a reading session into a spiritual journey.

The “Ijaazah” Experience

So, what does it actually look like to learn quran online with us?

  • Whiteboards & Visuals: We use digital tools to draw the shape of the mouth or highlight Tajweed rules on the screen.
  • Open Q&A: No question is “too basic.” You are encouraged to ask.
  • Two-Way Communication: You speak as much as the teacher does.
